In order to maintain the oil side of an accumulator, the client had to take the entire system offline. This meant that also the nitrogen side of the accumulator had to be depressurized. After the necessary repairs had been carried out, TECCURO pressurized the system with gaseous nitrogen to the required 560barg.
To carry out the work in a controlled and safe manner a procedure was written in which, among other things, the necessary safety features and distances were included. After the pump system was set up outside the safety zone, TECCURO started to pressurize the system in steps. After each step the pressurization was stopped to stabilize the system and to checked for leaks with a sound meter. In this way the system was brought slowly and controlled to a stable pressure of 560barg.
